My plec does not look to impressed with it and neither do the snails. The minnows are to busy chasing each other to notice. Is this ok to use as a substrate?
I also am using silica sand in my tank, I got it from the local Cement Plant. They sell it as mason sand. Got a 100lb bag for like 5. Did require a quite a bit of rinsing to get it clean but looks good in the tank and fish .
